Illumination Switch on Friday September 3rd 2010

Flicking the famous switch on Friday night (3rd September) from the specially-built Switch-On arena, behind Blackpool's Golden Mile, will be ROBBIE WILLIAMS.

This years event is an all ticket affair, though a large screen will be set up on St Chads Headland (between central and south piers) with plenty of space for large numbers of people. Click here to apply for a chance to get your hands on tickets for this event.

As well as welcoming ROBBIE WILLIAMS, Blackpool has also organised a whole host of major, free events making it what promises to be the biggest ever Switch-On weekend, attracting tens of thousands of visitors to the resort.

 
This should be the last year the event takes place on the old Central Station car park, as 2011 will see the opening of the fantastic new Tower Headland areana
