Directly in front of the property the footpath is wide enough for vehicles to stop half on the path for the purpose of unloading, whilst leaving sufficient room for most road using vehicles to pass.
There is a single step onto a paved area directly in front of the property; the edge is high lighted with a bold white line.
After this there are two further steps upto the front door, the edges are again highlighted in a bold white line to contrast with the back ground.
Should assistance be required there is a bell push both on the outside wall and on the frame of the inner door.
To assist in gaining entry to The Chorlton there are grab rails either side of the front door. Also the area directly in front of the door is protected to some extent from the weather by a canopy bearing our name
Entry to the property is through two PCV and glazed doors. The frames to these doors both have a small step on them which may be a trip hazard so please take care.
From the front doors the hall way continues back into the building. At the bottom of the stairs there is a slight narrowing (this prevents access except to the narrowest of wheel chairs)
From here access can be gained to the bar/lounge/dining room, or straight on to our toilet, ground floor room there is also a door providing private access. Located on this door frame is a bell which should no one be around will notify us that assistance is required.
